My Role
This initiative was one of the winners of the Google News Initiative (GNI) Innovation Challenge in 2021 and received 70% of the project's funding.With this tool, Fiquem Sabendo aims to enhance public transparency in Brazil and spread knowledge and practices regarding the Access to Information Law (LAI) both nationally and internationally.
I worked closely with the team to understand the market and shape the future of the product through user testing, market research, and competitor analysis. By fostering collaboration and using a data-driven approach, I drove innovation, enhanced the user experience, and provided critical data for decision-making.
The Team
A team composed of frontend and backend developers, data scientists, journalists, legal experts, and a product manager.
Main Challenge
Understanding the platform's future based on past data, market research, user studies, and competitor analysis was crucial. Two years after its launch, I joined the team to explore how to monetize the product and drive its progress amidst market and target audience uncertainties. My role involved delving deep into user feedback, refining our value proposition, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement strategic changes.
